UN’s Controversy Over Children’s Bill of Rights
The UN has been trying to ratify a form of the Bill of Rights but formatted to fit the children around the world. One hundred and ninety three nations around the world have already signed in agreement. The United States however is not one to support this bill of rights compounded by the UN. This bill of rights will include reasoning behind why children should not be mistreated for any purpose. This bill of rights from the UN will support that each child, although a child, has every right to express their own opinion. The reason why there is such controversy from the United States is due to the fact that children are children. Parents love their children and will do whatever it takes to raise them the best way possible. The last thing children need in today’s society would be a bill of rights. They will just have one more thing to question every decision made by their parents who only want the best for them. The UN has been pushing this bill of rights for the past twenty years and will not fail to give up. President Clinton had signed this document in support in the year 1995.
